The Decisive Curse📛
and the Enduring Enmity⚔️
Until the Inevitable Event⚖️
🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻
The enmity of Iblīs toward Adam and his descendants is an absolute and manifest hostility that will endure until the Day of Resurrection. What continually fuels his hatred, renews his malice, and sharpens his resolve is his awareness that the curse pursuing him through every day of respite granted by Allah fell upon him because he refused to prostrate to Adam.
It is a decisive curse—one that expels him from the mercy of Allah—disgracing him and pursuing him wherever he wanders in this world until the Day of Judgment.
What intensifies this hidden rancor even further is his certainty that his final destination, along with that of his progeny, is the Fire wherein they will abide forever. For this reason he has taken misguidance as his path, sparing no effort to ensnare humanity—individually and collectively—in order to gather as many as possible around him in the Fire.
He pursues this aim relentlessly and tirelessly. Nothing restrains him from deceiving and subjugating mankind except the necessary guidance of Allah, His special guardianship, His constant protection, and His preserving grace for His sincere servants.
Allah has already unveiled to us his strategy, his methods, his steps, and his ways. He has informed us of his intentions, his determination, his persistence, and his watchful ambush. And by His prior knowledge, He has even conveyed to us the very speech Iblīs will deliver on the Day when Allah judges between creation—after the earth has been transformed and the overwhelming reality has arrived.
On that Day mankind will be presented before their Lord, and no secret will remain hidden.
In that moment Satan will declare that he merely called and they responded; he held no true authority over them. Each soul will then realize that the blame belongs only to itself.
In this present world, the earth is the arena of a great struggle: between two calls, two minds, and two hearts. One responds to the call of the Fire and surrenders to desire, while another awakens from heedlessness by the grace of Allah.
Whoever realizes the gravity of this reality and understands that the life of this world is but a fleeting provision compared to the Hereafter will recognize that Satan is a clear and relentless enemy, while the guidance of Allah is a blazing light for the one who seeks it and finds comfort in it.
Such a person purifies his soul through obedience and draws near to Allah through the deeds most beloved to Him—first by fulfilling the obligations He has commanded, then by increasing in voluntary acts of righteousness in pursuit of the pleasure of the Lord of Majesty and Honor.
Yet Allah’s majesty is not increased by the worship of His servants, nor diminished by their disobedience. He is the Self-Sufficient, the Mighty whose sovereignty is untouched by the deeds of creation. He is the First before whom nothing existed and the Last who will inherit all things.
Still, He is the Most Loving and the Most Compassionate toward Adam and his descendants. Whoever turns to Him seeking His love and strives to purify his soul will find his heart cleansed and prepared to receive divine guidance—guidance that brings him from darkness into light.
Then the light becomes clear before him, and by it he walks through the pathways of life.
Allah chooses whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back to Him. His power is absolute, and no path is beyond Him. Beyond the general guidance He grants inspiration and sound direction to those who walk toward Him seeking the path of those who return to the Lord of the worlds.
They hasten toward good deeds in hope of His acceptance and pleasure. They are the travelers in devotion, the certain in faith, the seekers of refuge in the Majestic Lord—those who walk upon the path of the Mighty , until they reach a seat of truth a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.
They are the foremost and the companions of the right hand, who on that Day will gaze upon their Lord in glory.
Until that moment arrives, the enmity of Iblīs and his progeny toward Adam and his descendants remains rooted and enduring. Man lives between the whispers of his own soul, the whispers of devils, and the desires of the body.
Yet just as man was created weak, Allah has made the plot of Satan weak.
Though they see us while we cannot see them, we are granted faith in the unseen. When we believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend from what Allah has provided us, we stand upon guidance from our Lord.
Then the divine inspirations from the Most Merciful overcome the whispers of the soul and the suggestions of Satan for those who seek guidance.
And Allah is ever dominant over His affair, though most people do not know.
