🗯️Imam al-Ghazālī (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his explanation of this part of the third verse of Sūrat al-Baqarah:
* “Provision is not limited to wealth alone. Knowledge is provision, status is provision, and strength is provision. Whoever Allah blesses with a favor is required to spend from it. Whoever is given knowledge should spend from his knowledge; whoever is given status should spend from his status; and whoever is given wealth should spend from his wealth.”
* Status (جاه) means social standing and the ability to influence people, and an example of spending from one’s status is encouraging people to do good.

⚠️Give charity through kind words to your brother, spread peace—for it is an act of worship—and spend from your time for your fellow Muslims. Get to know the one who prays beside you in the mosque; this is charity of time and emotion. The believers are brothers, and do not forget your afflicted brothers in Gaza.
